I play the "what if" game far more than my sanity should allow. I apply it to basically everything;
What if I'd stayed a theatre major?
What if I'd never taken that year off from college?
What if I'd never fallen in love?
What if I'd stood up to my father earlier in life?
What if I'd never met you?
. . . Or you?
Or you?
What if we could have made it work?
What if I hadn't pushed so hard?
What if I'm sorry?
But also, what if I'm not sorry?
What if I miss you more than I'll ever admit?
What if it doesn't matter?
Oh, right.
It doesn't.
Still....
